i attempted to take off the wood trim panels on the doors and someone told me that you can just pop them off and put them back on with some 3M adhesive..welll i tried "popping" the driver side off and it popped alright IN HALF..how can i get the pieces in the door off with out them breaking? and what about the one by the shifter?

Oh, crap! Sorry...

If they are held on with adhesive, perhaps a blowdryer? It might be warm enough to loosen the ashesive, but not too hot to ruin the finish (afterall, it's only plastic).

I'd like to switch mine out to somme kind of metal.

What are you replacing yours with?

well im not exactly replacing them..i bought a can of that Krylon Fusion paint and im goin to use that and then do a clear coat over it cuz i think the wood grain is kinda ugly and doesnt really fit the look im goin for..ill take some pics in the morning and post em it looks really good..basicly it looks like Astro's wood trim but i have the dark interior (black/dark grey dash w/ black seats) i also installed some black housing headlights today and used the Krylon on the grill but leaving the chrome..i think it looks bad a s s

Whoa, Whoa...don't use paint! I know exactly what you need...i'm thinking about doing this myself actually. Colored film. Just like tint film. Comes in all kinds of colors. And if you don't like it, just remove it. It's not permanent like paint. Here's the links...check it out. And it's cheap too!

If you really don't like it after it's done, you can always buy aftermarket replacement peices. They come in all colors and looks.

^ I think he's was referring the OEM trim, which is discontinued.

That film looks cool, but only comes in 19.5" square sheets, so not long enough for the dash panel anyway.

I wish the aftermarket kits had replacements for the OEM panels - all seem to just have additional pieces for every other surface in the car!
