Suggestion

If you want to go through Toyota check out dealer websites. They always have coupons available, i.e. last time I needed a power steering flush I found a coupon for $70 for a full flush. My dealer matches all coupons so i just looked around for the best deals on what I needed, took it in, and got everything done at once. Dealers can negotiate. Jon.

Get the timing belt done at the dealer. Shouldn't be more than 130$ for the timingbelt replacement, I just got that quote from a toyota dealer here for our Camry.

He's a 4 cylinder, and getting that kinda price is NUTS for a V6. My Toyota dealer gave me a price of 710 with no other car to rent or anything.

This is why I have all the parts sitting in my garage, and am going to try and tackle the damn thing myself.

Things to do:
1. Timing belt *
2. All drive belts (alternator, power steering, a/c fan belt) *
3. Sparks + ignition wires
4. Water pump *
5. Thermostat.
6. I'd replace all the hoses (hence your doing a coolant flush as well)...
7. Tranny Flushed. *

Everything with a * is something i'd have the dealership do (timing is cheap at dealerships, drive belts costs 24-30 bucks more when doing timing service, i'd replace water pump then too; why tranny flushes cus only toyota uses our fluids's...unless you go synthetic...then you can pretty much flush it elsewhere).

Goto a toyota dealership unless you wanna get taken for a ride. It's about 175 at the dealer, even less with a coupon.

I just got a quote last weekend for the timing belt and water pump. They told me $680. I just talked to my friend who is a car salesman at Toyota and he is gonna have his dealership fix it at his price! He told me $166 for parts and $35 bucks and hour for labor which im est. 5hours. So that comes to a grand total of $341! I round up though for any unforseen events to $400 which is still damn good! Im making the appointment for next week. Good luck!
