40's or 45's?

Postby blaK » Thu May 25, 2006 1:24 am

Sup guyz,

I bought tein springs and tokico struts and the rims I'm getting is 18-7.5 but the recommended size profile is 40's. I want 45's for a softer ride if possible. Will I have wheel well problems?

Just bought mine, it's a 01 SLE.

Is it worth getting injen intake when I already bought k&n air filter? That much of a difference? for $200

I already changed the head unit and jbl's for a premier and boston speakers with JL audio amp and sub. HID's are next.

Thank's guyz, glad to be here!!

stick to 225/40/18... most members here wont have tire rubbing issues with that set up... whats your offset on the rims? should be around +42mm..... hoonestly you wont notice a softer difference by going to 45's.... straight truth

k&n filter will do just fine... but in the long run if you decide to do more performance, the injen will compensate for what youll be doing

If youre doing 35 offset, you may have to roll/cut your rear fenders since itll stick out a little further. With added weight from passengers and your lowered suspension, going over bumps you will rub

100%. ThX will do.

Is there a better site for HID's?

http://gohid.com/hid-automobile-table_5101.html

The reason I didn't go turbo, because the car is still under warrenty.
It only has 35k miles and I'm good for now, just want it ride better.

Here a table you can use.
http://www.rims-n-tires.com/info_specs.jsp

one side you put your stock tires and other side you can put your new tire specs you want and it will give you detailed information wheater or not it will match stock size.

They also have a offset feature for us guys that want to go with wider wheels.

That table is awesome, thx bro. But the guy I spoke to said the lower the offset # the farther out the wheel will be but not according the table.

i think with 45series you will have a greater chance rubbing the fenders, cause I sometimes rub with 40's. But then again it depends mainly on your offset.
