I think i have a standalone amp on my system
I have a 2000 lara with JBL system
my question is what is the output of this amp? ( Someone told me my factory amp is mounted behind my glovebox ) RMS and Peak?

i seen it its tuckd in there perty goodon the left hand side behind the glove box it isnt that big either. about the size of a video game box.

40w rmsx4ch seems a bit much compared to amps inside aftermarket headunits which do like 40-60wx4ch peak.

blah im just trying to decide whether to hook the speakers to the factory amp for aftermarket headunit.

lolz. i didnt even know it came with an stock amp. but i'll have to say 25@4 too... it couldn't be 40.. half way up to the sound and u can year the amp working hard.

^ same here, i have a new headunit comming. I usually just get bass im my car and dont upgrade my speakers. But i think im gonna get a 4 channel, bridge two of the channels for my sub and then figure out what to do with the speakers...decisions decisions
