so yesterday i was going down rt. 83 and stupid me, i was going fast.. (80 in a 55) .. STUPID ME.. yeah so don't start yellin at me i know it was my fault.. but anyways so i got pulled over with a cop using his Lodar gun or something, and i got a ticket, (95 $) but on top of that i couldnt ifnd my insurance card but he knew i had insurance on the vehicle cuz i showed him my previous cards, so yeah he wrote me up for a ticket for that. I dont know when my court date is but he said if i find/get my insurnace card taht shows i was insured the day of gettting the ticket, that insurance ticket will be cancelled out and all i have to do is pay the 95$ for the ticket.
Let's just say if i don't find the insurance card, how much will i have to pay in total? and what other things might happen?

sigh. it was my fault i admit, i just thought id ask you guys.

Call your agent and ask for a replacement, happens every day.. They can Fax it to you in minutes. If you didn't have insurance that of course is another story. ALWAYS plea Not Guilty, show up and make a deal w/ the prosecutor.
Good luck.

but so lets say i go to court, show them the card and just pay the 95 bucks for the ticket, no other fees will be applied right? because i was not arrested, and I asked the cop taht if i had the card the day of court, all id have to do is pay 95 bucks for that ticket. is that true?

No. If you plea guilty they'll slap on court fee's. You should read the answers to the questions you post.. I can tell you that in NYS if you plead guilty send in the money you get points and perhaps an increase in insurance premium. If you plead not guilty ask for a supporting deposion and send your ticket in you get a court date. the supporting dposition must be answered by the officer that ticketed you. If you don't recieve one and in NY its 50-50. i.e. odds are good you won't.
This is reason for a judge to dismiss the case. Then show up to go to trial. Before the trial starts the prosecuter and officer or sometimes just the officer or sometimes just the prosecutor will call you by name, if they don't make sure you get to talk to them. They will try and make a deal so that you don't waste the judges time at trial. Usually less points or no points but the same or higher fine. If the officer does not file the supporting dep., then the case will IN MOST CASES be dismissed. I think the supporting Dep is not required in the city of NY as the officers notes serve as such, it required is in NYS.
Hope this helps somebody out there....

so pretty much all in all chances are i just have to pay the 95 bucks right? cuz ifound my insurance card.
a few weeks back i was in court with my friend (i was his ride) and i heard all the traffic violations and stuff and many of them were of ppl driving without their insurance cards on them, but once they stepped up to the judge and showed the prosecutor taht they had proof of insurance ... every time the judge would just say "case dismissed" .. hope that happens for me as well? ..

theyre full of BS... never listen to em

just go to the court and experience it urself and find your answers there... honestly not many ppl on here can give you an accurate answer since we all live in different counties... let alone state differences.
