Well I dont know what error 1 means but when mine was broke, you just have to get a new radio. Its like 300 bucks to get it fixed so just get after market one. What is doing wrong anyway?

That is a semi common problem with these headunits

Are these burned or legit discs?

I used to get it all the time with burned cds

I forget what error I got but mine would just take in the disc and not play it at all. It would just spit it back out. I was dumb and had it repaired for $300 bucks, but I should have just used the $300 bucks to get a nice aftermarket one. That is a common problem with a lot of toyotas. Peope on here get errors all the time.

yes, unless you really like the stock HU, in which case you can buy someones used one. Usually you can get them for less than $100, but there is no guarantee that it won't happen again

Yeah, the Alpine CDA-9857 with Bio-Lite Display. You get a free iPod cable if you buy it before the month ends.

http://www.alpine-usa.com

If you don't need to pay another hundred or so for the display and remote you can get the lower one CDA-9856 but you have to buy the cable for like $30.

My birthday is next Sunday and I'll be getting one of the two. Good luck with your search.

I bought a stock radio off ebay before an that one was borken too. I got my money back but he gave me negative feedback for it. Anyway I spent the $300 bucks to get my radio fix and if I would do it all over again I would have just gotten an aftermarket one. At the time I liked how the radio sat flush with all the dash and and aftermarket one would stick out a bit more.
