Creaky Brakes?!?!?!?!?!?!!!
Okay, my brakes are making this obscene creaking noise whenever I press the pedal. I mean it's a LOUD "CREAK". Doesn't matter if I am coming to a stop, or pushing the pedal to get outta park. When Im sitting, the creak gets worse the harder I push. I THINK it's coming from the passenger side. I believe I have heard this noise before, but it was very light and only when I shut the engine off and then let off the brake. Today it was in to have the pass. side wheel bearing replaced. It was AFTER the service that it got worse. I know they have to take all that apart to get to the bearing, so I think they just agrivated the problem.
The mechanic suggested the the rotors may need to be turned. I would buy that if I only heard the noise while stopping. But it's all the time. He also mentioned that the front sway bar bushing was dried out. Don't know if he meant that as the cause or just mentioned it. I don't know what the FLUB is causing this noise, but since it happens when I press the pedal, it worries me.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
