Wow - nice work! Looks like a genuine TRD style grille too! I had an Ivan Stewart TRD grille on my Tundra and it came with the emblem on it - looked a lot like that!

Nice work! :)

Thanks, but I have to give all the props to my friend who did the painstaking work of putting bondo and sanding it down and painting it. I cut down the grill and bought supplies and all the food to feed him. All in all i like the outcome. I just want to thank solaraguy for the ideas that got us started on the grill. Thanks for the support from all the norcal guys too.

The grill looks great. I have been thinking about finding or making one just like yours but painted Red like my car. Have you and your friend thought about making these and selling them? If not, can you provide instructions on how to make one of these for 2000?

Ive wanted to do this. But Im afraid it might fall apart and it looks like a person can just walk up and break the grill and get into your engine bay. How do you over come this?

It is a bit fragile, only wires hold the screen to the frame. I have been running without a grill for 3 weeks. Wing actually didn't take three weeks but he was busy with school and other stuff. I did have the same concerns over somebody breaking thru my hood but i think it is still fairly difficult because the hatch is not on the opening of where teh grill is missing..its somewhere deeper. Mark has a spare so he doesn't have to be grill-less.
