Gold License Plate Frames.. Sharp or Weak?

Gold License Plate Frames.. Sharp or Weak?

Postby Coppertone_STL » Fri Jun 16, 2006 1:35 pm

Ok, I picked this frame up at lunch as I was hating the dealer plates I had before.

Now I'm totally on the fence with it - should I take it back after work (about 2 hrs from now) and opt for the regular, black plate frames? Or do you guys like the looks of this at all?

Thought it'd be cool to match my gold trim, but don't want to draw extra attention to the plates themselves, or (here it goes again) look like some poser-pimp.

What are your thoughts? Go back to the standard Black or stick with the Gold frame?

I've got a set on my Solara, but I also have the gold emblem package too. So it kind of adds to the color scheme on my car.

IMOL: Gold looked good for gen1 lexus LS's and gen4 camry's (some). It really didn't work for all cars (including solara). Sorry, not my cup of tea!

Gold is yucky, you should shave all your gold emblems. Nice color by the way! Not too many of us around.

Well, mine has the gold emblem package, so I bought gold frames. I think it goes together pretty good. 8)

Thanks bro.

Yeah, checked-out your page -- Very nice looking ride. Your's is just the second one I've ever seen, and have only seen one in person which happened to be here in STL.

I actually love the gold trim package - did yours come with it? I think it goes great with our color.

-Everyone should know I took back the gold frames Monday afternoon. Got the standard black, with a plastic cover on them. I'm happy, and the girlfriend doesn't scrunch her nose up at my car anymore either!

No mine came with the silver emblems. It probably would have been dumb to do this, but if my car came with gold emblems I probably would have walked away from it at the lot. I tend to do that a lot with cars that have gold emblems. I just dont like gold, not even for jewelry. I go for the white gold or stearling silver. I cant stand gold cars either. But its just like what QuickSEV6 says thats why they make different flavors of icecream.

You should supercharge your car with that TC charger though!
