Did you have a ballast and ignitor or did you get a bulb that's like HID?

sounds like you just got regular bulbs, not HID bulbs.

*remove the grill (top 3 bolts/10mm)

*remove side corner lights (one screw on headlight housing)

*remove ONE headlight at a time (2 bolts/10mm; 2 nuts/10mm)

*unplug headlight bulb and remove rubber boot surrounding the bulb

*observe the clip that braces the base of the bulb; it can be removed easily, but re-installing it can be tricky.

*replace bulb with your newly purchased bulbs

*to put everything back reverse of removal process

I don't think you need to remove the headlights. Just unhook the paper clip looking piece and remove the bulb. Unplug the bulb and plug new one in. Just be sure that this new bulb isn't too powerful (higher wattage than stock) or else you'll fry the wire harness. If it is, you can get a upgraded wire harness for higher wattages.

its aite new guy - its all good. We all were new once.

but about ur bulbs - if u spent below 30 bux on the bulbs tht is not an HID kit.

so all u have to do is

unplug the clip thing on the bulb
pull out the rubber condom
press and twist open the wiring inside.
remove the bulb

i dont know if tht made any sense. it will once u actually do it.
