Yeah it should be slightly quiet, a hmmmmmin' tone to it.
It not suppose to be loud unless you hammer it .

The exhaust is really good, but it does sag just like you said, I would say that its is an inch lower then the stock exaust.

Well it suppose to sag a little cause the straight through design.
You can get a custom mid-pipe made for the Evo exhaust to have it not hang that low.
One member has had it done wit a 2.5" straight pipe and it sounds diff, but pretty nice.

Its the same for 5SFE - No custom fit required.

Everything rear of the cat for exhaust is identical on 5S, 2AZ, and 1MZ Solaras.

You got it on pretty quick. You want it to growl? 1MZ is a much quieter engine than the Solara 4cyls. GReddy alone doesnt add too much to the growl except at startup and at high RPMs for the 1MZ. If you want more rumble, put an intake on. The I+E really adds to the sound.

On the 4Cyls, just an intake or the exhaust opens it up alot more. With both, its really lets loose.

Its easy to install man, loosen a couple bolts after the catalytic converter, and the bolts to the muffler too. Screw out the o2 sensor, then pull everything off. Its a lot easier if the car is jacked up. Then, you simply do the reverse to get the greddy on, and put the new o-rings in too between the flanges. Def try and do it yourself, or get a buddy to help you. Its easy and would kinda be a waste of money to get it professionally installed. Depending on how soon you needed it on I could help you when I'm down in sd, I know there's a few other peeps there willing to help as well if you can donate a 6 pack or something :P .

The 5sfe doesn't have a supercharger made for it, pretty sure you'd have to do custom if anything, and if going that route turbo would probably be better. Either way, its gonna be expensive. As for intake, depends if you want it louder or not lol, that's the main thing it helps. k&n drop in should be fine performance wise. Anywho hth.

The 5sfe actually has a supercharger but it is made by RIPP Modification i think.....drop in 3g's and youve got yourself an SC.

Why it's not that hard man.
Just jack the car up on the rear, and put one jack stand on each side.
Then crawl or roll yourself under the car, PBlaster the bolts, and unbolt the 2 bolts that hold the mid-pipe to the Y-pipe which is 14mm, and then unbolt the O2 sensor hang off to the side, and then get some WD-40 and spray the rubber hangers, and then use a flat head and pry the hangers off on the muffler and mid-pipe near the O2 sensor.
And then unbolt the hanger that holds the mid-pipe and muffler up which is 12mm.
And then drag the whole mid-pipe and muffler as one and then unbolt the muffler and mid-pipe.
And then put the mid-pipe and muffler hanger on the Greddy Evo where it suppose to.
And then bolt the Greddy Evo mid-pipe on the car, and then hang the Greddy Evo on the car, and then bolt the bolts up.
And you ready to go.
Not hard at all.
