Depends on what brand you go with, There is this thread right now

http://www.solaraguy.org/viewtopic.php?t=26298

And 80 bucks for used KYBs is a damn good price, also Tokicos would be the other choice for you but I see none used for sale, you would have to do new ones. And of course the install, there are some shops that charge 50 bucks, I know of a couple of them, I charge 150 for installs. It all depends..

someone just told me.... if it was you. sorryyy.. i just read the posts... i forget to look at the person.

but they said that in order to install the s/s. you have to remove the rear seats, seatbelts, speakers.... is that true??

and where do you work? i dont mind paying the extra money knowing that you have a solara yourself, so you must know more about it. :)

^^^ you dont need to remove seatbelt and speakers. but you have to remove the rear interior panels and seats in order to access the strut. just take it out to install. installation typically cost you about 100-160. it is always better to give to a shop or someone that is experienced with solara.

and remeber you will need 4 wheel alighment too

Thank you Joseph, yes it is only the panels. I do this at home and I have lowered 100+ cars. about 20 of that being solaras gens 1-2.

And alignment is not a must RIGHT away, but it is recommended for tire wear sake.
