Wang2K, Serious Question, What is the purpose of the 8 coats?? I have a CF trunk that needs recoating since it is hazing (bought it used like that), so how many coats would you guys recommend??

no it adds about 46HP and 23 tq :lol:

lol... you need 2-maybe 3 layers of clearcoat.. anything after that will actually hurt the car in the long run.. dont belive me, wait a 2 years for you to have the lovely milky haze

general rule of thumb.... 2 maybe 3 is more than adequate to keep from fading.. anything else will hurt in the end.. so im waiting to see how many months in the sun it will be till he is complaining about a milky look all over his car

i dunno how many coats the guy is putting. he is telling me bullshit right and left. number one he is taking forever. my car looks the same as it did a week ago. two he tells me this 8 coats of clear bs and its obvious hes not gonna put that many by all of you guys reactions. and 3 he said he ordered my cf hood...yet me no see. His shop has always done good work but they are taking forever!
