Solara Pace Car Picture

So I was at the Pocono 500 Nascar race and came across the pace car for Watkins Glen, a Gen 2 Solara, not sure on what year it is, but it was the SE Sport V6. It also had an L.E.D. light rack on it. (I know I am in the picture, but its pretty cool to see a Solara pace car.)

Word, I don't believe I've seen that one before. I just rmemeber the group of like 3 or 4 different colored pace cars with a different paint job IIRC.

Nice car.

Not too wild, other than the 500+ hp stickers I'm pretty sure everything else is stock too. :turn-l:

Personally, I disappointed in the appearance.

The white stripe looks awkward.

The stock wheels and tires.

The typical 4x4 look of the Toyota ride height.

Usually the Pace cars are modified so that they can handle higher speeds as they leave the pack and go into the pits. It looks like Watkins Glenn was on a tight budget.

Aside from all that whining, I too am still glad to see a Solara Pace Car.

I love how the white stripe matches up with the fog light.

Agreed to everything minus the white stripe. You need to distuinguish a pace car from a stock car that parks next to it. I think it was highlighted well. But the wheel and suspension...come on toyota..you can do better than that.
