You may be right, and we should wait till we see the final product rather than speculating about the appearance. I'll be interested to see it in person.

CVT? hmmm...maybe if they choose to put the hybrid engine in the solara down the road. It'll be on the RX in less than two years, which means it wouldn't be a big deal to adapt it to the camry or solara

Triptronic? I think the correct acronym you are looking for is E-Shift. That would be a nice feature, but still wouldn't be the same as a manual tranny with clutch or a real sequential tranny.

CVT? highly unlikely.

I've seen the 04 Solara. I know my previous description doesn't sound that great, but I think you will like it when you see it. It looks much more agressive and mean.

If you've seen it, why is it so hard to find a pic of it? Can you take your super spy cam and snap a pic for all of us to see? I know April is right around the corner, but we're getting antsy around here! Do you know if the coupe and convertible are coming out at the same time? So far everyone only speaks of the coupe.

what isnt good about the CVT? no gears (or an infinite number of gears, depending on how you look at it), fuel economy as good (or better than) a manual, I'd take it over an automatic!

Will the 04 Solara have a navigation system as an option? Anyone know a price range?

Sorry, dude. I could lose my job for sharing a pic.

Only the coupe will come out next month. I have not heard of a date for the convertible, and have only seen pictures of it.

Well it looks like we are gonna have to wait a little longer.

A redesigned Solara
Coming in the fall of 2003, a new Solara.
The 2004 Toyota Camry Solara will be mechanically similar to the latest Camry sedan.
It is said to be a notchback coupe, not a fastback like the current model.

Some people have insight but sworn to secrecy...
which does not help, but make the conversation worse.
