F/S: Black gen 1.5 7piece TRD, 56k = x.x
Ok, so my lip kit is up for sale. It has some damage but all but one minor part of that damage is fixable bya repaint, and this kit is still very servicable as a black kit without a full repaint and only repainting the rear valence on the passenger side. The dmaage mostly came from two incidents, my accident on 95 which you can see a picture of the damage in this post, and when I had to hop a median because I was 2nd in line at a drwabrigde that broke and after 45 minutes of being late for work without a phone to call in, I had no choice but to hop the median or risk getting fired for a no call no show.
I've taken a copious amount of pictures to try and best represent the kit as it is so as not to mislead anyone as it looks rather good from a distance, and on the car the only thing visibly wrong are indeed 2 rear valence pieces. Anyone who owns one of these can look under their car and vouch for the fact that scrapes do happen down there, and they're mostly not visible.
That picture was taken after both incidents, not showing the rear damage so as you can see it is still usable as a black kit.
There's the shot of the damage from hydroplaning on 95
Small paint imperfection there, hard to see but there.
Ouch
Ok now here's the one thing that cannot be fixed by a repaint, I'm sure it can be tacked onto there somehow, and I have the broken piece. It happened from the impact of the retaining wall, which doesn't surprise me as I hit the thing going 45+.
Pics showing the piece while I was taking the lip kit off...
I forgot to take a closer pic on this skirt but towards the end on the top of this pitures there's a paint chip that came on it brand new about the size of 1/3 of a dime, I'll take a pic if anyone wants to see.
The front valences are drilled with an extra hole fro support on the gen 1.5 to gen 1 conversion.
And I also used silicone window caulking to seal up the gap between the bumper and valence. It came out looking super good like it was molded.
It's hard to see in that pic so here's a piece where I peeled a little bit away. you can take it off with your thumbnial iff you spen da little time with it, or if you plan on painting the kit I would just take some rough grit sandpaper to it. Anyway this pic illustrates the size of the caulk line left on there better with parts chipped away.
And there you have... my lip kit. ga solara has first refusals on this so I give him 72 hours to work something out with me. After that I will go to others interested in this kit.
It will also come with a few self tapping screws that come with the kit, and directions for installation. you may need to buy ne screws, I don't know, in any case they cost a few dollars at most. You will also need to buy 3M adhesive tape and 3M adhesive promoter, which I would guess would cost anywhere from 10-30 bucks to have enough to do the whole kit properly. I tried to leave as much of the tape on the pieces as a guideline before they are retaped when they are put back on. Also you will need to glue, tackweld, or do some other sort of fastening on the small broken valence piece. You honestly can have the valence on there holding just fine with only the tape, but I'd recommend getting this fied or redrilling a hole right next to the original, either will work. Drilling a hole cost 0 dollars or the piece could be put on from anywhere from 5 dollars for superglue and up for more proper permanent methods. If you desire to repaint the whole thing, that's up to you, or if you have a black car you can paint just the valence and the middle valence to have it looking great while mounted. 90+% of the other scratches and scrapes are not visible while the kit is mounted.
Other than marks recent red one for sale and the primed one that was on ebay I haven't seen these popping up ANYWHERE. I paid 900 shipped for it new, and it does need a little restoration so I'm willing to let it go for $650 shipped. You have to understand in that price that shipping for this is not cheap and that's including paypal fee if that's how you choose to pay. So that's about $70 out of that price that I'm not getting and you are paying to get this kit to you. If you would like to pick it up in person I will sell it for $560 so you get a little discount for me not having to deal with the shipping bullshit. Show me where else you can get one of these is any condition other than cracked and warped for that price and I'm willing to work with you.
I've tried to respresent this kit as fairly as best as possible with no effort spared to show it's true condition, if you feel it is misrepresented or would liek more pictures, please let me know.
gasolara has 3 days to respond to this, after that it's up for grabs.
