So as I was pulling in to a parking lot, i stopped to get the ticket from the machine, the brakes were extremely irresponsive and the entire car vibrated and the front left wheel(ive been having a scraping noise coming from it...) was louder then before and clunky? i took the ticket and parked it, just my luck i hadnt put the jack back so now my cars sitting in the lot...going to go tonight and get it towed back home, the wheel (frontleft) looked normal but *sigh* i would get its a warped rotor, i dont know..

the scraping is when the car is in motion (not braking) and the pads were over 50% just 3 weeks ago so I doubt its that =\

thanks for the response though, i gotta go to class in a 95 maxima right now  be back soon, help me out guys

Could be a loose caliper...

remove the wheel, and check the caliper, make sure its not loose... save yourself the tow man!

if you need screws, it should be something like 1.25 turn 12.5mm I think... forgot sorry, it is about 45mm long.

hope this helps.

you need new shims. Buy new shims from the toyota dealership for 13 bucks for the front brakes. Mine scraped/warped since I used the supra bracket kit and the rotors were slightly thicker than stock.

there are two pads on each cliper. the outer one that you can see might have 50 but the inner one might have none

okay dudes i put the front and back on jack stilt and turn it out and put in drive, e brake off, and observed (had a video but i cant seem to get it on to computer) but heres what we observed...

front left spins, theres scraping from the caliper which gets louder or quiet'er but never completely gone...

now here was the surprise...
the FRONT RIGHT wasn't spinning...it was trying to move it seemed, but it moved VERY little, wish i could show the vid, i may be able to get it up later tonight

^Anyone know what would cause the Front Right rotor to not spin at all, this is quite abnormal right cuz it was in D (no acceleration btw) Front Left was spinning, not Front Right..
