Gauge just spiked on me when i got home from work.....
I have a new radiator, new water pump, and the radiator fluid is topped in the reservior, and changed the thermostat when i first got my car......
Is that just normal???
It only spiked about a couple of mm's up.
Today was about 100 somethin'.
Am i just freakin' out or what????

My temp gague never moves from the same spot once the car is warmed up. Just stays there...

Maybe fan isn't coming on fast/often enough (thermostat).

Well actually mine moves to about the middle of the number 2 of the gear selection in the gauge cluster.
Then it spiked when i was parkin' when i put the car in neutral, and did again today after i came home from gym.
It would spike to the middle of number "2" and "D".
Which is pretty high, then it would go back down.....
Is that normal????
Well i can hear my fans come on when i'm in netural.
They're louder than my dad's 98 Toyota Camry V6....

maybe you have an air pocket. take the coolant cap off and crank the car. let it run with it off for a while to let any bubbles get worked out of the engine. Also your overflow tank shouldnt be completely full. It is there so the engine can barf it into there when you shut it off it should be filled to the line.

Ill bet you have air in your system

Make sure not to take the cap off if the car is hot. Coolant could explode all over.

If you continue to have cooling problems, add some redline water wetter

Well when i installed the new radiator i thought i got all the air out.... :-?
Will see on Friday if takin' off the cap will work...
Probably will run the heater full blast to circulate the coolant.

I would like to back-track what i previously stated.
My temps' gaugues if extended would match the bottom slide of "2" (and not D as i previously stated). In the evening, its below 2. PREVIOUS POST to be edited.
