Clear bra for front end?

Does anyone here have them on their cars? If so, how much did you pay? Any regrets?

And if you can name the place where you had them done, thanks in advance.

:) I currently have it on my G coupe. It was around 800 buck’s out in Michi. I glad I got it... There were times the 3M Clear Bra save my cars front end from road debris. It’s a good investment if your car finish is brand new. You just wash it and wax it as if it were plain painted surface. The only draw back is the wax and clay baring that gets caught around the edges of the film. Even thought it protects your front end, it does not protect it from boulders.

Where in MI did you have it done? Is this something the installer has to have a kit for or do they custom fit to any vehicle? (I'm thinking of doing this to my Z as soon as I get the pearl paint resprayed.

Ive got one on the front end of my other car. It covers about half of the hood, the edges of the front bumper, and the edges of the doors. I do not have any chips on the car. Mine was about $1000 total, with a lifetime guarantee from 3M, if it ever comes lose, changes color, fades, etc..., they will replace it free of charge. I tried to take a pic of it, but its very hard to see it. I will have it installed on anything I buy from here on out. My Solara is already to chipped up to care anymore.

:) Hello Brian,

I had mine done at the Stealership. However, the business that performed the install was "Fade to Black". I beleive Fade to blck actualy drives to the site (your home or something) to perform the installment. Not sure. But it doesn't hurt to ask. :)

Their website is the following:
http://www.fadetoblacktinting.com/index.cfm

In my case there was a kit available for the G coupe. I spoke to the owner and he told me that they also do custom Clear Bra applications. This 3M Clear Bra is well worth the money spent. Just kind of need to take care of it.

The second place that does this kind of install is Tuning Factory of Farmington Hills (AKA Godspeed).

Their web page is below:
http://www.tuningfactoryinc.com/

You could be looking at spending anywhere from 300-1000. Depending on how much coverage is needed (25% of hood, fender front, Bumper, mirrors and headlights).

 As a general note, if the car is getting a Clear Bra install after delivery, it would be of best interest to have the car washed and Clay bar'd (to remove the road tar and bugs) prior to the install. This is so that the installer will have a clean surface/finish to lay the film down. The results will be better finished product :P

Hope this helps out Bro

PM me if you have any other questions. :P
