Looking for a stiffer ride w/ better handling. Will be going with the Tokico Blues, but what about springs? I want to make sure they are stiff since I have a trunk full of subs.
Parting out my car!!! great upgrades for sale!

Stiffer ride you should go with TRD rears for the struts

If you have hugh subs in the rear I wouldn't use Tokico struts.

I would go with TRD struts with Tein S-tech or TRD Springs.
The rear tokico's wont hold up long with allot of stuff in the trunk.

I had a full custom system in the rear and I ended up blowing out my rear struts due to the heavy system I had.

I have the TRD and will be replacing my Tokico's.
Tokico's are too soft. I wish I would have gone with TRD from the beginning.

uttt ohhhh... i'm on stock springs and struts in the back... i wonder if they're in danger? i just lowered the front only because the front stuck up big time and the back was already lowered by the system... uttt ohhhh....

If you still on stock springs it should be ok. I was lowered in the rear and I had my system. Bad combination. I think if mine was stock it would have held up fine.

But I would go with TRD struts rather then tokico.
for my new car as well. I am going with coilovers. No more spring and strut/shock combos for me...

would there be an issue with just putting new struts and springs in the front (lowering it a bit) and not changing the back?

I'm on the same boat as you man. I'm just waiting to hear the responses then go from there. So far TRD or coilovers seem to be the only option. I think as far as springs TRD because I heard it doesn't have as much of a drop then the Teins. I'm hoping I can meet up with Blak this week and ride in his since I forgot to at HIN.

i am in the same boat as most of you guys, and thats why i chose to go with TRD struts with Tein S Tech springs for the sole fact that the front drops 1.7 and the rear drops 1.4. with a system in it, i am hoping that the extra .3 less of a drop on the rear will sag the car down so that it will even out .

can someone just lower the front and leave the back alone??? is this harmful towards the suspension??? the back looks ok but the front is 4X4 looking.

how about removing the sub? since it is so heavy, it is bad on the suspension anyway. Thats why I never had a sub box installed in my car's trunk, knowing it will mess up the suspension and handling.

If I were to lower my car, I would do it on the front and back with a set of lowering springs from TRD or some other good companies that make suspension parts for my car.
