UNLV sucks wrote:looks fantastic. ive been wanting to see how this kind of tint would look on the taillights. i like it. post a DIY perhaps?

since i applied the film on the outside, the process is pretty straightforward with the tinting film, just follow the directions on the back of the package. however for the fogs, you can't use one piece of film to cover the entire surface because it will cause crinkling since the foglight itself is curved. so i used three equal pieces of film per foglight and just trimmed and lined up the pieces so that there was no overlapping film.

for the turn indicators in the taillights, you just need to cut out a piece that will cover the desired area plus some extra on the edges and then lay it down and very carefully trim to size using an x-acto blade.

the whole process, after some troubleshooting only took about an hour. actually the hardest part was probably just removing the foglights and tail lamps.

I love it. (Giving me ideas for the front! )

Did you remove the entire headlight assembly, cover it and trim the excess off or try to do it on the car?

Do you have any pics with the headlights off?

Very nice work!

Looks great but I would be worried about the durability of the tint on the exterior?
