Lately with the 100+ temperature Ive been left with no choice but to turn my AC on to stay alive. I notice when I turn the AC on my car idles at 600 rpm and night time I see the light dim and car stuggles to keep going. I have to push the gas pedel to 1000 rpm just to keep the car from going too low on idle. It only does this with the AC on or sometime when I use my window, moonroof, all my lights at the same time but it isnt as bad.

Will getting that higher power amp solve all the problem? Belt and everythings fine. I hate the 600 rpm idle.

Not sure why its a big deal if your lights are dimmer when you're idling?

The AC on max can really lower power output, especially at idle. An upgraded alternator will help this.

A grounding kit may help this, if not. Than an Optima Yellow Top will and if that still doesn't work than I would suggest the alternator

Sounds like your alternator is failing. Better have it checked. It's been 110 (+) here and I never have that ptoblem but, I've got an HO alternator.

That might be it too. My car battery has died on me twice in the pass month on morning startups. But then I D/C the battery when the cars on, The car doesnt die.

Then it may just be your battery is getting old or if you have too much electronics a normal battery can't handle it and you may need the Optima Yellow Top with the Deep Cycle
