3 spoke steering wheel for Gen 1.5 in ivory/tan color??

Does anyone know if the tan interior Solara was ever optionally equipped with a 3 spoke steering wheel?? I heard something about a special package that came with the 3 spoke, and I've only seen pics of it in the black/dk grey interior cars.....

BTW, did Solara interiors only come in two colors??

Solara only came in Tan and Charcoal for 02-03.

There was an appearance package option only on SEs starting in 02 that included a 3 spoke leather steering wheel and shift knob/shifter.

I read that in the previews though. I never have actually seen one like that with a stock 3 spoke, So I'm not sure if thats one of those options that never made it to production.

yes it is that one its brand new with airbag and side cover and cruise control switch

I'd rather have the cash right now then the wheel.

The appearance package supposidely came with black pearl emblems, special center caps on the wheels, and dark trim instead of wood trim too.

I never seen an actual Solara equipped with these options. Anyone have a pic?

wow, I have that exact same steering wheel in my closet. It's BRAND new also...but black. And, the connectors for the SRS on the one I have are not the same...something about being a "dual stage" thingy.

Is that wheel actually from a Solara?? It looks exactly like the one I have, which is from a 2002 Camry SE...different gen then the Solara and apparently "dual stage" airbag.

I'm just curious, I'd really like a 3 spoke in ivory/tan....

After the thread you wrote about your new toy and after so much time has past, I have to ask, why haven't you installed it? Its a great looking wheel. Doesn't it fit? Is there any other kind of problem with it?

If everything is ok with the wheel and if it will fit an 2001 SE V6, my offer stands. $215

Thanks for the pics. I actually never knew that this package existed before this thread.

I'm going to jump on a limb here and say the following - Since the appearance package included "dark grey trim" to replace the wood trim, this package, along with the stock 3 spoke wheel, is probably only available on charcoal interior.

Its probably the exact same wheel as the Gen 5 Camry SE, seeing as they came out the same year the package became available. I'm not sure if the Gen5 Camry SE came in Tan interior, but the Gen 6 Camry SE only comes in dark interior, and I suspect it was the same for Gen5. If thats the case, theres no tan 3 spoke wheel in existence for the Camry/Solara.

Also, I cant really tell by the darkness of the pics, but I think the centercap in the pic has a black pearl emblem to match the other black pearls. Standard on the 16 is a chrome emblem

@ a dealership near me they sell new ones with red wrapped around parts of it but I'm sure they're gonna ask for like $500 for em, damn airbags cost alot .
