I don't it will be worth it to make your car not street legal. You don't want to spend a lot of money on something that you have to get rid of later.

Just do a catback exhaust, headers and intake.

read the latest article in Import Tuner about high flow cats and going catless as well. getting rid of your cats going to get you maybe 1 or 2 horses at the max next to a high flow cat. Stay legal cause a few horses is not worth it.

Very true, but they also mentioned that the more engine mods you have (i.e. supercharger) the bigger the gain will be too. But I do agree with everybody, get a high flow cat if able.

On my friends integra board a few people proved on the dyno that a highflow cat made better power than a test pipe. Different type of car but I am just adding. Personally I would add in a magnaflow highflow cat. I have one and I never set of the CEL.

as long as you dont remove the catalytic convertor, it will not trigger the CEL. if you are thinking about removing the cat, the car will sounds with high pitch like a civic and shoots out alot of black carbon deposits.

if you really want pwr...i think your best bet is to direct trade the turbo solara....

CEL's?? not street legal?? barely any HP gains.... whats your guys input? or should i just go for the cat by itself?? since Midias got his hooked on with no CEL's

legal?

Postby NRDriver » Thu Sep 28, 2006 6:40 pm

as far as cali goes. it sounds like its gonna be a pain in the butt to get smogged. my toyota truck passed the smog test there but when the saw that the headers werent cali certified, they failed me. LOL. so i dont know what you plan on doing when you need new regestration.
Food for thought
