GETTING RID FOG INSIDE ALTEZZA LIGHTS

GETTING RID FOG INSIDE ALTEZZA LIGHTS

Postby supercamsol » Mon Mar 31, 2003 10:07 am

HOW DO i PREVENT FOG OR MOISTURE FROM MY TAIL-LIGHTS?
i HAVE 2002 GOT THE ELIIPTICAL LIGHTS OUT AND BOUGHT THE
ALTEZZA CARBON TYPE WHICH LOOKS DARKER AND FITS WELL
WITH THE COLOR TYPE i HAVE WHICH IS GREEN FORREST PEARL.

THE QUALITY OF THE LIGHTS IS LESS THE 100% BUT IT DOES A GOOD
JOB OF MAKING MY GOOD LOOK A LITTLE COOLER---i FEEL THAT THE
COLOR OF THE 2002 MAKES MY CAR LOOK TOO FEMINEN. THE ALTEzza
with dark apperance makes the car look more macho-man ,strong
and fast and so far I have not seen a celica kick my ass yet----in the long run that is. 8)

thank you

my friend had the same problem with his 93 mustang when he changed the tail-lights, the solution he did was to put silicon around the edges of the tailights, inside the trunk. I don't know how helpful it will be but it is worth a shot,

btw do you have any pictures of the tallights...?

wow whats up w/ all the caps?! anyways 1 way to get rid of fog would be to get rid of the lights alltogether! but seriously try sealing the edges w/ silicone

First of all, please do not type in ALL CAPS...it's considering yelling. As for ANY aftermarket tails, they are prone to water condensation due to the poor seals that they are made with.

Not really. Even if you put a good bead of silicone sealant, there are still chances it wont seal properly.

I had the same problem. I gave them a good load of silicon seems to have helped. I get a little condensation every once and a while, especially after I was the car, but it usually goes away pretty quick. Give it a try, it can’t hurt anything. :)
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

silicone will work but check for airholes in the back of the casing also.

Temporarily. Then you'll be back to square one with the fogging.
