Hi, if anyone has a totalled SLE with auto A/C, let me know. I'd like to get the Auto CC controls, subharness, sensors, evap box, etc. whatever it takes to convert manual AC over to Auto.

Just LMK, I wanna get a good deal because this project may or may not go well.

Personally, I'd prefer a manual control; as an SLE driver with climate, you're not missing out on much. But if you still want it, more power to you and good luck in your search.

I hear ya. I am trying to push the car into more of a luxury direction. I want to get the ES300 gauges swapped in, the Auto AC and I'd like to score on the 2007 Toyota OEM in dash Navi....just make the car look like a quasi-Lexus on the inside.

I've had auto AC cars before, and I usually ended up using some oter setting than auto. I just want it for that "luxury" vibe

This is much harder than you think it is. You need a climate sensor that goes on top of the dash too. And all the wires are different. Its got nothing in common with the Manual AC.

ES300 guages also wont work.

Just out of curiosity, you seem to know whats involved because you are so sure it won't work....could you please let me know the technical specifics as to why the ES300 cluster won't work, and what it is that can't be overcome??

BTW, I am totally aware that the Auto AC system is totally different. Most cars I have done this swap on required nearly every component of the AC system to be replaced and alot of harness splicing needed to be done. And, it's never too much work if you have a donor car. I only do this stuff for fun, not because it's easy or makes common sense

Did you see the whole system, or just the head?? I am hoping to eventually run into a fellow SG member who is parting out a SLE cause I'll need almost the whole system...likely

You tell 'em! I wish you luck on your transformation, sounds like you really like tinkering with cars, and if you do, then this type of thing is perfect for you. More power to ya!

es300 wont wokr its been tried......just look on the back........if you somehow can solder all the changes on (to make them compatiable)more power to ya and make a diy........cause ill do it too

I am getting the Service CD ROMs for both cars. I'll use the wiring schematics to build a adapter harness. I will find the correct connectors and build the harness so there won't be any soldering or cutting. Just plug and play. If it works, I'll make the harness available to SG members. We'll see how it goes. People say it won't work, the connectors are different that's for sure. But The Camry, Solara and ES are the same platform. And the actual cluster should physically bolt in with no mods.

Anyway, anybody that wants to say it's not possible, please hold your tongue. If it's not possible, I'll admit defeat. Otherwise, if I get it working I am gonna charge all non-believers an extra $10 if they want to buy my adapter

theres a junkyard by my house that has a black sle. its a 99. i can go check how much the guy wants for it. its bout 45 min away. he has two come to think of it. im sure hed probably let it go for like 30-50 bucks. let me know if you would like me to call and check.

THX for the offer. I am kinda deep into my current project now, so I thankfully pass on your offer. Ideally I will find a parting out SLE locally in due time that I can actually pull parts on myself so I can become familiar with the SLE/non-SLE AC systems differences.

Nearly everyone here is such a pessimist. Just because something isn't plug and play dosn't mean that it can't be done.

If you have the time, skill and money... OR lots of money you can do anything. Supra engine RWD, Auto-Climate, whatever.

You want easy? Get a Civic or a TC.
