Header...

Postby Steve526 » Fri Sep 08, 2006 6:02 pm

I read thru numerous posts after searching and it sounds as though there are hardly any headers at all available for solaras.
I just ordered an injen short ram intake and surprisingly my parents are letting me get headers for my solara as well

It's only an i4 but would this work? http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/price/T ... st/Headers

I really don't know, it doesn't even indicate much of anything. And obviously since it's an i4 I only need 1, the pictures imply two. Sorry I am a complete noobie to all this stuff

Are there any sites that sell headers that you would reccomend instead of the one that I linked above?

Thanks alot.

Edit, that looks awfully cheap... 170$???

Anywhere other than private buying, like a website/company or something?

I went to their site onto the toyota page and it makes it seem as if they no longer sell them.

You may want to call JP Performance, they are generally pretty good and making custom parts or parts they dont carry anymore.

I know alphaworks and megan racing make them for the 2az on the tc. Not sure if they're compatible with the Solara. Worth a shot

Thanks TMMK Toy, I just went to the megan racing website and found the one that fits the tC, I'll call them sometime tommorow afternoon and see exactly what their policies are in case I were to buy it and it doesn't fit etc.

tC header will not be direct bolt on.
the fringe(?) is different.
so far the JP header is the only one it made for our 2az.
call JP performance and ask for Michael Bentley, or send him e-mail at
bentleymd@adelphia.net

if it is in stock, he'll ship it right a way, but if not, they'll make one and send it to you.

It's gonna be $503 (including tax and S&H).

Is that a good deal in your opinion? I was hoping in the 400range but seeing as they make em custom when you order em it might not be bad after all. Is the HP gain really worth it?
