Drain & fill is a every 10k mile thing depending on how you drive. . . A flush I would recommend every 60k. . . The difference is the drain & fill only changes the 2.5 quarts that is store in the pan. Tranny flush is when they hook it up to a machine and pump like 25 fresh quarts or so through your tranny and torque converter in order to fully replace your whole transmission with brand new fluids.

They recommend drain and fill every 30k. I just do the full flush at 30k instead. Jon.

what milage are you at? Do you know how the previous maint was done?
I do tranny flushes's every 30K.

On our Es, i really have no idea when it was flushed...once you go over 100K+ not many shops want to flush it, hence we drain&fill it yearly.

If you flush it make sure you change the filter and pan gasket too. Sometimes flushes can dislodge particles trapped in the filter and trap them in valve bodies, causing shifting issues. I know of this happening to a few people and thus they were apprehensive of tranny flushes since then. Drain and fill is recomennded every 30k. If it's never been flushed and miles are over 80 or so, I say dont bother and just drain and fill.
