Mine is 9k and it's purplish just like TECHNOCRAFT.

4200k is whitish and 6000k is bluish.

Here's a good HID FYI link for anyone considering retrofitting HID. Higher temperature does NOT mean it's brighter.

QUESTION TO THOSE WHO HAVE HID KITS:

what is need to install HID's in our cars? based on the reading material Luc provided, you need 3 things for optimum performance from and HID kit: ballast, bulb, and projector/reflector. most of the kits i've seen don't say, or don't even include that projector with the kit. or do they?

also, what is meant by 'retrofitting'?

Taken from Webster's dictionary online with regards to retrofit.

Main Entry: ret·ro·fit
Pronunciation: 're-trO-"fit, "re-trO-'fit
Function: transitive verb
Date: 1953
1 : to furnish (as a computer, airplane, or building) with new or modified parts or equipment not available or considered necessary at the time of manufacture
2 : to install (new or modified parts or equipment) in something previously manufactured or constructed
- ret·ro·fit /'re-trO-"fit/ noun

They need to update #1 with "or car" also. :)
