RENOVA GRILL FEEDBACK!!!!

Postby Fresco Bob » Tue Sep 26, 2006 6:18 pm

I received mine today, and after a little bit of figuring out it fit into place quite easily. The biggest thing Im dissapointed about was that on the center bar there was a big chuck taken out of one of the ends. I was actually planning on using the center piece, so hopefully its something bondo can fix.

Heres a pic of the missing chunk, and of it installed on my car.

Im sure Renova will be willing to send you another middle bar to replace seeing that Joseph said they had 10 grilles to disregard. Email Renova about your concern. But if youre determined to fix it yourself, by all means :D

dont feel bad, i am sure you can easily get it fix by applied bondo or any fiberglass repair material. that is the beauty of fiberglass......easy to repair or alter. or maybe you can contact renova and see if they can help you out.

Im going to see what the guy says about bondo/fiberglass to fix it. Im sure it will be cheaper for him to fix it than to pay for shipping on a new one.

i think a little solder and some caulk will fix the mesh right up however would it be smarter to take the mesh totally off before going to get it painted to ensure that every point of the grill is hit with paint? also the fitment looks great on ur car!!! is there a gap between the bottom of the grill and the top of the bumper?

they are all primers, i dont see why not. if you mess up, just use sand paper to send it off. no big deal.
