Eibach Springs and Tokico Shocks

Yeah I was expecting that kinda answer, but just wanna be sure... my fingers are itchin to get the springs/shocks, but just imagining the hundreds of scrapes imma go through! I havent dropped my car yet and I scraped bad last nyte pullin out! I even did the whole "drive sideways out of the lot" arghh

As others have said, it would be better to do it all at once. You won't get the full benefit of the lowering springs unless you match them to performance struts, plus you'll double pay the installation costs by having the struts installed at a later date.

If you're scraping now, even without a lowered car, I think you're going to have to be very careful getting out of that lot once you install the springs. Actually, though, I have had more of a problem with scraping due to the large tip of my Apexi exhaust than I have had from the lowering springs.

Is it just me or does the stock exhaust hang very low. I've seen a lot of solaras and camrys from the back and they look like they are sagging. Also the apexi seems to hang pretty low.

i agree, theres a middle part where it hangs down
i could be wrong, but i think its to reduce vibration

yup, very common complaint. but the reason its like that is to reduce heat from the exhaust piping from being transferred into the car. more air passes above and below the exhaust thus cooling it down. not to worry though, the front ends of solaras and camrys (stock) are always lower than the exhaust.

It looks like it hangs low, but if you look at the car from a side view, the piping is actually horizontal...and then bends up. I dunno what Toyota was thinking on that but they shoulda curved or angled the piping upward with the floorpan of the car. That's just a small design flaw that even plagues past Corollas as well.
