sup there SG,

So i'm currently in the group buy for DatSRpipe... and I was just curious, how does the Solara exhuast system set up anyways. So you think you guys can help me name these parts? I took three picture, this is in order from engine all the way back to muffler.

This is the first component that is visable under the car (there might be more not visible) basically, I have no idea what this is... I know it's not a catylic converter, that's one thing for sure. It's like some kinda "collector" I guess? well anyways, what does it do?

Ok, THIS is the catylic converter right? but if this is the case, then where is that secondary O2 sensor? :-? maybe i'm wrong

This is the last component before the muffler... I didn't need to show the muffler cuz... who doesn't know what a muffler is. So what IS this thing then? it kinda looks like a muffler if you ask me. Is this kinda like a "pre-muffler"? quiets down the sound before it reaches the main muffler?

well... okay, so I kinda sound like a noob, but then again, you guys are here to help right?

one last question, this is for DatSRBoi, or anyone else who is very knowledgable about the group buy. Which of these component is that new pipe replacing? Thanks

"CamrySE-soCALlara" has them all listed.

As for the secondary O2 sensor, you have to be on the driver side near the the cat.
And "DatsRboi" his G/B is replacin' the Y-pipe, which is the first part of the exhaust system.

I see, thanks guys... to to review, flex pipe, just a pipe that flexs to allow the system to not be stiff? Catylic converter, removes harmful emmisions, and resonator... a pre-muffler?

You gotta have the flex pipe to compensate for the engine movement when you accelerate. Otherwise, your exhaust would get all bent up at the y pipe, or between the y pipe and the mid pipe.

Doesnt matter what exhaust you have. The Y pipe plug up to any exhaust that can fit directly to the factory Y pipe.

To let you guys know there are a few changes in the Y. I moved (or i told the guy and he said yes he did it.) the flex back more towards the y connection to aloow any future cat to be added with no issues.
