GooseXRS, you have your opinion and we have ours, I would hate for a fellow Solaraguy to be labeled as "gay" "whack" "rice" "stupid" whatever, here in SoCal we have alot of nice rides and I don't see any of them rockin wind deflectors. But if the original poster must get them for rain purposes then thats his decision.

Im sorry but you need to drive around because some of the nice cars down here do have them not all but some. So it is an aquired taste but like I said earlier hes asking where to get them = he wants them for whatever reason so when haters say "they're whack and gay" = His choice of mods is gay and thats atacking him and thats not cool. Im sure I can pick appart every car ever and find something to call "whack" or "Gay" about them but thats fuqed up so I choose to pick out the things I like. Yes opinions are just opinions but some people dont know how to make an opinion, they just insult and hate. I mean why cant you just say "are you sure you want to get those? Because IN MY OPINION, I dont think they look good at all."
Thats my point. Im not trying to say your not intitled to your own opinion im just saying try a little harder not to bash.
No disrespect intended.

I understand how you feel, but most everyone is really friendly here, and these types of comments aren't really meant to be mean. Like I said, I know what you mean, though...

I've never ever once seen a Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, Lexus, Infiniti, BMW, or Mercedes rockin wind deflectors. I have seen them on Dodge Caravans, Chevy Astros, and a few lowriders. Goose may be right, I might need to drive around more.

Anyways, Jeff should know I wasn't attacking him personally but was watching out for his best interest :D

I say No to the wind deflectors.
Smoke somewhere else.

Or move to SoCal where you can get a convertible and smoke a big fat cigar with the top down almost year-round!

Oh - FWIW - those aren't cool enough to be "gay" - you'd never see a gay dood driving around with them on their car. ;)

Wow.. I guess everyone hates them.
I have them on my car and I thought they went great with the theme I had going. But to each his own. Here are some pics of my car with them on.

They are by Vent Shade. You can do a search on google for "Solara Vent Shade" and you will come up with a couple of companies. I paid $40.00 bucks for them and think they are well worth it. It keeps allot of the water esp rain from dripping into your car if you have the window slightly open.

As I said.. I like them but everyone has there opinion on it.

tofuuuuu we're going to have to talk later about this. I think these look good on trucks or sedan cars. Not feeling it on coupes.

As long as you dont PAINT them to match your car.. i see this white altima in my town that has them and painted those things white. looks disgusting

It's not "hate" (such a strong word)

They weren't bad on vans and mini-trucks in the 80's, but...
