Tailights and Signal lights OUT

Tailights and Signal lights OUT

Postby LatinDragonXJC » Tue Nov 07, 2006 5:58 pm

I just got my car back from the auto body shop after bringing it back for a second time for paint issues and them messing up my corner lights. Now I took a good look around my car with all the lights on.

My corner lights dont turn on (but they do signal). And my tailights dont turn on while in drive, but the signal and brake light works. I tried changing the fuse, no result.

Anybody have an idea what it is or has it happened to one of you? I just got a ticket last night because of it (and that brought it to my attention).

not sure if main wiring harness may be the problem. when i had a problem like that of yours on my car it turned out to be the fuse...

Yeah, what he said... But keep in mind that there are some times that there are more than one fuse for each component; it was the most frustrating thing when I noticed that happen in my old car... Without a voltmeter, and had to pluck out EVERY fuse and check it until my malfunctioning retractable antenna until I came across DOME (as in dome light).

bump

Does anyone know where I could find the ground wire for the DRLs? I figured out through some searching on other sites, and they all point to it not being grounded properly.

Sorry didn't want to start a new thread and waste space.

I read your thread, did you ever get it working? And where your tailights out too, in the same manner?

That's exactly what I'm thinking, it should be such a simple fix but can't figure it out. And I really dont wanna take it to the shop, cuz they're gonna take my car for the entire day to fix it, which I doubt they need. I'ma keep researching it, I'll let you know if I have any luck also.

i feel the same way too. i want it fixed but dont want to waste money on a mechanic when i know its something so simple. if i dont have it fixed by the end of the weekend im taking it in to get fixed. not being able to drive at night is killing my schedule. let me know if you find a solution.

i have to keep reminding myself i drive a toyota not an audi....
