by the time you guys actually drive your cars, they're usually a lot better than the stock cars.

although, i guess if you get a nice car to start with, you have a better base to build an even better car.

anyways, i'm a new kid on the block, so just ignore me :o

So that is the same 4-cylinder engine as is in the 2003? I think I read it puts out 157 that is why I ask.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

Toyota needs to produce some power and soon!

Postby richcali1@email.com » Wed Apr 16, 2003 1:45 pm

A good way to prove a point is to put at least 400 HP in the New Supra or whatever they are going to call it. We need to start somewhere!

Toyota vehicles in the market are underpowered and each challenger has raised the bar. Honda, Nissan, and other American companies have only increased their HP while Toyota has stayed the same or increased their HP slightly. Ironically, the new 4 door Tundra that is coming out is going to be weak with their engine choice of 240 or lower in California. Nissan has 300 Hp and Toyota needs to match that as their biggest engine offered.

If Toyota has to tune Lexus engine so be it but being "conservative" will only get you soo far.

By the way is Toyota the third largest car company in the world over DaimlerChrysler?

GM which owns; Buick, Cadilac, Pontiac, Chevy, GMC, Hummer, extinct Oldsmobile, Saab, and Daewoo; is technically the biggest car company in terms of dollars and sales. Ford is up next which owns mercury and lincoln and part of Mazda. then i think toyota (toyota and Lexus) finally over took Daimler Chrysler in sales. D/C owns Mercedes, Dodge, and Chrysler.

GM also owns or has holdings in a few other companies: Holden, Opel, Vauxhall. They are also linked to Subaru, Fiat, Isuzu, Suzuki

But back on topic....Tomorrow is the day
