I dont know if i like them for the solara. Ive always wanted them on my other 4 door cars though (Q45 & Explorer). I dont think they would look that great on a 2 door, spend the money else where. Got a stereo, spring/struts, etc...?

I think they are sick.. maybee Im just old school. And somebody show me a stereo or struts&springs for 40bucks plus shipping and Ill admit that you could spen the money on something better.lol
Im getting a set. Also I think its only cool for darker cars so i blends in with the lines of the car. I wouldnt get them on a silver car or anything like that.
Take Care guys.

I wish they made something for a convertible, cuz the Solara convertible drips like CRAAAAAAAAAAZY in the rain.

The 07 convertibles have some sort of strip on the tops that looks lik eit was meant to keep it from dripping in...figures, ater I bought mine! :(

I think JW Whitney is going to sponser this thread.

Why not look into Crown Royal air fresheners for the rear window? Perhaps some fuzzy dice? How about light blue spray paint for your dash and door pulls on the interior? Anyone have a tutorial for installing Dingo Balls around the windshield?

Seriously Jeff, why check with SolaraGuy Peeps overs something small and a matter of preference? We don't tell you what to wear to school in the morning. You need to have a vision of what you want your ride to look like. Then execute that vision. If that includes window vent shields, great!

In Japan, these are on just about everything. Including Taxis. But the Japanese tend to smoke in their cars and typhoon season makes cracked windows a pain. I don't think they do it for "style." This should be your case. If you have to smoke in the car and want it, just do it.

The only thing important here is that YOU like your ride. There is no right or wrong because of popular opinion.

^i know. my preference was biased. just asking for opinions.

but im now leaning more towards not having them because my friend photoshopped one on.. didn't really turn out the way I thought it would. I guess it kind of killed the curves of the 'lara.

i kind of like them because they are very useful. i would have mine painted to match the color of my car though but i actually thinks it looks good. The only thing i dont like is the sunroof wind deflector. It looks like a big black bubble on top the car and then after a while it get a flat spot due to the wind pressing down on it. Honestly i would get it on my car and get some black rims and black tint and black headlights and tailights and i think my car would look badass due to the color contrast.

My $0.02.......

.....I put DEER whistles on my '85 Supra (black, over-fenders, 245 rubber, Tokiko's w/drop, etc...) but they would always FLY OFF after 110-120mph or so....

In the only couple cars I ever drove WITH the shades.... they turned into pretty good DEER WHISTLES at the speeds I drive....

Go ahead an' get-em!!! You'll kill two birds (and one less DEER) with one mod!!! LOL :o

hmmmmm..... could this DEER be GAY?

(happy, that is...... for the doppler-effect-advance-warning-system window-shades Jeff is wearing as he soars down the avenue....)

Window air deflectors on a Solara are hideous ugly! On the other hand, I've never owned a car more prone to dumping large quantities of water on the window/lock switches (and my leg!) whenever the door is opened in the rain! Deflectors wouldn't help that.
