Hey i actually had the same exact problem about a month ago....me and my dad just replaced the motor. Mine pretty much did the same thing.....one sec they were workin fine and the next they just kinda stopped halfway and started to make a grinding noise.
Take off the cover. (Make sure you take the wipers off)
Unplug the wire from the motor.
Take out the whole assembly. (It is one peice)
Take a good look at it and remember how the arm looks and its placement because you need to make sure the wipers wipe the same place as before.
If my memory serves right you take the motor out by using a socket wrench. (I forget the size)
I am pretty sure my dad bought the motor from autozone......but we only spent like 100-110 dollars so try to find it in that price range. (Says Denso on it of course)
And just put it back on the way you took it off.
Until you get it installed just keep your wipers off and go to nearest autozone and buy little bottle of RAINX. its like 3 bucks but does wonders for rain. FULLY dry your windsheild and apply RAINX as if you are waxing the windsheild. (you no karate kid......WAX ON WAX OFF!!)
HA HA if you have any questions feel free to ask i will be more than happy to help you. Hope this helps..............
