Heres my share of non-action pictures. Too tired and mostly out on the track to take pictures. Simon might have some, we'll just have to wait. It was a great open track day and I even got to destroy a couple of BMW's, an S2000 and a bunch of other cars. Ill try and give more details, but time to get to class. Enjoy!

For some of the new guys that don't know who we are, I'm John and drive the 97 Camry. Simon used to have a gen 1.5 silver Solara and now has the new Avalon. My girlfriend Mai drove our new Honda Fit Sport to the track and carried my extra rims and tools. The red 240sx is my little brothers car.

Kenny, you gotta go with us next time. They had great food there as well. They provided both breakfast and lunch, but the BBQ lunch was the best part.

thanks for all the comments guys. The track was great! Just like before, the clouds and rain cleared up in an hour or two after breakfast.

Milt, thanks for the comments on the rims, but I like the refinished rims on your cam a lot more. The rims match the car more thanks to David's CF hood. You gotta join us on the track sometime once the 5vz monster is complete.

Jeff, those open track events are soo full of Corollas and 240s that they are alwas overlooked. Funny thing is the track guys pay attention more to the "strange" and "weird" cars, especially if you are fast on the track. I know i do, there was a black 90's accord with H22 swap and auto tranny. Damn, he was stupid fast.

Some results: They placed me in the advanced group where passing w/o prior warning is permitted (just like in real racing) and there are no rules (you can tailgate all you want). I killed me some BMW's, S2000, 350z, late model M3, and the usual modded 330i's. Seems like the drivers of these cars were beginners are they would only be fast on the straights, but slowed down on the technical sections as well as overworked the car. (One car caught on fire)

Wait a second... That looks like Buttonwillow... How in the name of bloody hell did you go to the track at Buttonwillow?!?!?! That's my fave track, I wanna go! Whens the next event there? Ill be there for it.

^Yup, its buttonwillow allright. I posted up the Turkeyday event almost 2 months ago looking for people to go. So far from the site, only Simon and Kenny were interested in going, but Kenny couldnt make it last minute. Sorry man, i thought you werent interested since there werent too many replies.

Event took place Friday right after Thanksgiving, it was hosted by Bob's Doughnuts and they even provided amazing BBQ lunch as well as a nice breakfast. Next time ill PM you about track events.
