The amp is behind the glove box and there is no sub. There are 6 x 9s which produce pretty good bass, but no subwoofer.

There is no stock sub. Technically your rear pair of 6x9's are your subs. The JBL amp is behind the glovebox.

Those stock JBL 6X9's sound pretty good but for you to think there was a sub hiding somewhere? If a sub ever sounds like those 6X9's then you better take it back.....

Sorry I technically just got my car 7 days ago today. Im still looking through it. I thought I read that there were 7 speakers. I assumed 1 of them would be a sub. But that JBL system does sound nice. Ill have to get myself a sub sometime soon then. Tks for the Info

unless of course you have the SLE convertible with the 300 watt stock system. in that case, the sub is behind the rear seat. i only know this b/c we replaced one yesterday for a customer!

Ok here's the list...

Top of doors = Tweeters = 2
Bottom of Doors = Mids = 2

Total of 4 so far

Rear Deck = Mid/Bass = 4

There are 6 Locations, Top door x2, Bottom door x2, and Rear deck x2

and 8 "speakers" to say... because the rear deck are components... so they counted it as 2 instead of 1 as they should have... well, that's the logical explanation... i may be wrong x_x

Let me rephrase that for you. Your rear 6x9's are there to give you your supplemental bass since there is no seperate subwoofer available. ;)
