Yeah so I spent a couple of hours to save myself 100 dollars.
I think it was worth it

Reverse Glo Gauges installed by meee ( with the helo of jon's tutorial )

That little piece of electrical tape u see on the top of my gauge bezel is the on/off switch. Since the power inverter didnt came with a push pad on/off switch rather than the classic flip switch style, i have to push it everytime i turn on my headlights. A pain, but a small price to pay next to paying someone to splice it into a constant on wire.

BTW Dats - I didnt even work underneath the dash =D

Coming in the mail already are autolumination super bright 5 direction LED lights for the gauge cluster ( i kno its a really small thing but the stuff left on my dash that isnt blue HAS to be blue.

You know there is a way to re-wire the inverter to only turn on whateva color you want.
Cause the one i got you could switch from blue or green, but you need the one wit a switch attached to the dimmer they give you.
Oh and i didn't have to splice any wires too. :D

Yeah same here, i just removed the green rubber cover on the bulbs, that's why the lightin' for the odometer is orange.

The problem with those overlay kits is the lighting behind them: if you take the bulbs out, you can't see your needles; if you leave them in, it shines through. You might try a little electrical tape on the back (not on the front part, might mess them up) of the actual stock gauges. I myself don't like the look of the kit, it strikes me as being ricey, but to each his own - definately a good install! You might want to move the on/off switch.

couple of little things I've added lately...
Im pretty sure most of you wont care but for those that requested pix of my recent LED lighting additions here they are.

Image
The LED in my trunk is a #194 Matrix brand 5 bulb light. Its pretty bright, and is a good alternative to a small neon tube.
Image
This is the bulb, directly
Image
The view of my interior now
Image
LED glove box light. This was a bitch to put in.
Image
LED ignition light
Image
My reverse glow gauge at night

couple of things
1- Gonna replace bulbs behind gauges. Beginning to see more and more green peek thru and its really annoying
2- I have an SLE with Auto climate control. Anyone know if those bulbs are replaceable? In Jon's tutorial he only covered the manual temp control models.
3- Gonna replace shiftgate with LED and gonna get a bright dome light LED. Thinkin of just doin white but not sure yet.
4- Anyone tried putting blue tinted plexiglass or see thru plastic in front of their clock yet? I want to try it but wanna know if it works first.

Looks good, those gauges look blinding at night. You should get some blue leds to light up the floor.

That on off location will drive me insane. When I go underneath the steering wheel this week to install my boost gauge and run other stuff Ill try find the wire that allows you to directly hook it up to the cars facotry on off switch on the steering wheel colums. Makes it easier and all. And it will allow you to control your lighting dealio to make it bright or darker.

looks good. I used to like them but not my taste anymore - it's a lil too much for me. but props.

yes please dats
but im not sure if it would work on mine
kuz my on off switch is a pressure pad
and heres the interesting part. I stripped the two wires recently that lead to the connector that connects to the switch. I tied the two wires so they intertwined so in effect it skipped the switch. I turned on my headlights. They STILL didnt turn on. I think whatever I do im always stuck with that button. And the most infurating thing is that its not a switch i can simply leave it flipped on, its a pressure pad button, so i always have to press it. anyway i relocated it to the bottom of the steering wheel hub out of the way so its no longer so ugly but its harder to find -_-''
