one should be able to feel the effect of an ELF. at the moment, the stock rear 6x9's can produce the same type of sound as an ELF would make, but there is no beating/vibration of the sub.

Just to clarify, 8 speakers, 6 speakers, or 1,000,000 speakers, it all boils down to being driven off of a 4 channel amplifier in the deck. Separates in the front consist of a midbass driver and a tweeter, the same way a 6.5" 2 way speaker does, same with the x9's in the back. Without aftermarket amplifiers that are made to support more channels, you have FOUR speakers. i.e. if I take out the 4 midbass driver and leave the 4 tweeters, I am not left with a 4 speaker system. 8)
