Hey, those look nice....

I like my 5000k light and color quite well....

....somewhere, deep down, I have this desire to see 12000k in the fogs, just for fun.... (I don't want to give up fog condition visibility, though... still thinking of some ways to have BOTH, switchable manually... hmmmm...)

Yeah, I think so too. (ours similar) Hard to tell color from this shot, but I like the overall pic I shot on the way to work... it helps show the "near-white" blue of the 5000k temp. Like others have said, the projector lens gives spectral flux to the light from different angles. Very cool. I haven't seen lower temp. HIDS in fogs.... are there any pictures with 3000k HID in fogs out there?

(...maybe if I "SEARCH".... :-? )

These MIGHT show color/brilliance a little better.... the fogs are silverstars...

^^^ wow, yeah! Is that much color with clear glass from the capsule temperature alone? (That's really yellow!)

How EFFECTIVE are these in the fog? In "other" conditions? Are they better or worse than HALOGEN bulbs? (my silverstars are pretty good coverage...)

Oh haha they are crazy. Im not sure how they achieve that color, but 3000k would be the best for fog.

Is it really this bright? How accurate would you say this picture is by %?
Honestly, my hids are not even 25% as bright as yours. Also, mine shoots about half of the distance of yours. How come on the first pic of the wall shot, it looks awful as if they were halogens?

The wall shot was far away and i took it behind the wheel, it wasnt a good shot at all. It was close to that brightness because of the old pavement, it had almost a white coating to it but its hard to explain, but on dark pavement its not that bright.

How is the output when you are on I-95 or I-90 with those crazy black tar roads?

Its not bad, much better than halogens. It looks close to the factory reflector type hids. Still very impressive. What temp do you have?

I have 6000k bulbs. When I compare next to OEM cars, my output is about half as bright as theirs and a lot bluer.
The output is kinda bright only when shining on roads or pavements that are not black. For highway driving, about 1 hour of driving will get my eyes very tired.

Yea thats because of the 6000ks being a little blue. Try either 4300k or 5000k.
