^^^ OBVIOUSLY, you have inspired me with YOUR ride Posh.... and Milt is ALWAYS an education to observe in action... I can't DREAM of pulling off you guy's drop impact, but the concept repeated in the Camrys and Solaras you have shown are creative seed for alot of reflection out here...

Hey, thanks!

You are describing exactly the "style" I was targeting. This setup is working very well for me, and although I have insisted on taking the car MY way, it is VERY MUCH a reflection of ALL the input and styling cues I am seeing from YOU out there... not JUST in your RIDES, but the quintessential flavor in the personalities and attitudes that have transcended from you as people, to your vehicles of projection as exchanged in this arena...

looks great crisp. the 17s arent too brash and tuck in neatly, but your car really looks great with that drop. Its been needing that drop for a while
^ yeah, the drop is a GREAT improvement in every respect... super bang-for-buck on BOTH visual and performance appeal... what has surprised me MOST is the "IMPROVED" ride it now has... I'm not sure if it is the variable compression tension of the TRD springs, the couple pounds per rim weight reduction, the (previously slightly "pinched" rubber on 7" wides) spread over 8" rims that has noticably reduced "bulge" and distributed contact patch, the suspension enhanced road feel, or a combination of ALL the above, (most likely), but the overall handling, traction, poise, nimbleness, rigidity, transition-neutral steering and hard cornering improvements are HIGHLY NOTABLE off the array of simple "bolt-on's" I've done in the recent 5,000 miles...
yeah, really needed the drop!

See? I told you OZs make good wheels.
Looks great.
And great photography too.
You're positive comments when I was looking were weighed heavily in my judgement. It is not so much the comment on the rims that persuaded me, but your insistance on insisting that YOUR choices for YOUR ride were ALL that mattered... As with yourself, this vehicle was the ONE I chose after careful consideration. I bought it on lease with intent to buy, and continued to carry out that plan from the start.
As with several others, I greatly appreciate the remarks on the photography. I didn't take my strongbox and assortment of lenses, and had a very short window of opportunity to snap a few in light that was a little "higher" and "harsher" than I desired. (The low 40 degree weather with brisk wind off the water on the reservoir wasn't very inviting, either! ...but this is actually VERY mild for this season here in Ohio.) None-the-less, I thought I captured several that were complimentary to the car and mods that I wanted to show off... the GREATEST honor would be if someone were even slightly influenced or inspired... even simply "informed" by my study, as to what can become of some of these fairly understated but sporting spirited cars... very much as I have been studying YOUR rides...
Many other specific comments I wish to express appreciation for... but in general, if I could thank those who commented on their support and encouragement as I invest TIME, ENERGY, and MONEY

into this very rewarding project. I wouldn't have done it without "SolaraGuys!!" (and gals!

)
CURRENT MODS:
CP-e MAFci (tuneable)
TRD exhaust
TRD Front Tower Strut Brace
TRD Rear Sway Bar
TRD Lowering Springs
Michael "T's" Upper/Lower Grille
OZ Nova 17x8 Rims
Lots of crisperation and crispurrency
POTENTIAL FUTURE MODS:
Tint
Ziebart
JL Audio (later--Navi)
Transmission Cooler
Tranny "Kit" (or performance "massaging")
TRD LSD Kit
KYB or "other" Struts
Brake Kit (StopTech or slotted rotor/pad/braided lines... etc...)
Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions (235/45/17 or similar?)
Exhaust Header/middle plumbing mods
Mill Heads (compression bump... around a half-point)
Valve Job, Flow/Port
Dyno Tune at CP-e
I suspect the entire array of those mods, and the car would be an outstanding performer for an otherwise "mild" N/A coupe. Hopefully pull whp numbers around 250-260... I think that would compliment a 4-5 hundred horse Supra nicely, and remain daily driveable and practical.
now, if they ONLY made a supercharger for the gen 2's......
You all are the best.
Thank you,
-crisp
