01 Solara front brakes on a 98 Camry?

Postby Georonim0 » Tue Jan 02, 2007 5:26 pm

Hello all

I have a 98 Camry with cooked front brakes and a super clean 01 Solara parts car with perfect front brakes. I was wondering if these parts would interchange. The solara brakes look to be a good deal larger than the camry stuff. If they work they would make a very nice upgrade cnsidering the size increase, and the fact that it won't cost me anything out of pocket.

Does anyone have any information regardign this potential swap?

Thanks
Jorge

yes they will fit.. caliper pads & brackets.. if you have a v6 camry they are the same size.. if you had a 4cyl then the brakes are bigger for the solara but yes they fit.

solara got the camry v6 brakes... what you are doing is basically a v6 brake conversion..

take off the brake lines and the rest of the front set:

caliper, brackets, brake line, rotors & pads to do it..
