tein s-tech's on stock struts?

I know i've asked this a long time ago and unfortunately i did a bad job of asking so here I go again.
My car has 118k miles on it. when i bought it i checked out carfax, (dont know if it's relevant) no accidents, everything is in perfect working order.
I know my car has high mileage but I want to lower my car with Tein's but maybe keep the stock struts. is their a real issue involved in this or a possible risk? and what are the chances?
I will only be driving this car til I"m 21, and will be donating the car to my little cousin for his 16th birthday.

looking at these
http://performancecenter.com/product.pa ... plications
they are sold in a set of 4 correct?

any information please let me know, thank you.

i hear its a bad idea because youd eventually need to change out strut to aftermarket and install is a pain and if you pay someone to do it theyll charge you a grip because you gotta take out all interior panels
spend the extra 300 or so bucks and get some good struts

I went thru this too when i lowered my car haha

because

1. factory one is soft like ghey
2. it was not design to pair with shorter springs, the shock will die soon.

do it once and do it right.

exactly.....

I wish I would have done that when I lowered my solara....
Which also why I went with Coilovers now with my xB and not a spring and strut/shock set-up.. Coilovers are just much better..

But thats just my opinion..

I would just wait and save up enough money to get your strut and springs replaced. I wouldn't do just springs. Esp. in a high mileage car.. your struts can go bad at any given time, even more so with lowering springs.

Word to both of you^......

On the question at hand though.... I had done it on my old solara... and trust me it sucks balls when you want to corner something and you just bounce around everywhere.....
