No the most embarassing thing is putting your corners light on anyways after having the screw tab broken in shipping, and later on having your entire corner light housing flapping in the wind, held on only by the thin wire harness that connects the bulb to the car, and making clinking noises as it slaps your fender.

Thats the most embarassing thing. Happened to one of my friend's Gen1s after the duct tape failed. (yes believe it or not, duct tape can fail).

that's my problem right there, my sealant LOOKS sealed on my clear corners but I dont think they are, condensation keeps getting into my left clearcorner..
how do i seal it up?

put sealant where the back of the corner housing meets the front. its easiest to take the rubber trim off and THEN seal it. then glue the rubber trim back on.... when you have it in front of you youll get the picture. very easy job.

you haven't lived that long then if that is the MOST embarassing thing that can happen to you!!!!!!

15 yrs old, lookin at what must have been a Porn star walking UP Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, while speeding DOWN Clifton Hill on my bike. I passed her by, looked over my shoulder to watch her some more and before i knew it, into the back of a parked car, over the bars, onto the sidewalk, @ about 40 Km/h. with an audience of i would guess close to 3000 people. now THAT is an embarassing moment!!

True, but funny! I have been there many times, and can just picture this happening...must have been a long time ago though, cuz I don't think 3000 people would hang out there anymore.

There used to be a bar there that all the underage NYers used to go to, some strip club....cuz the drinking age was only 19. Was it called Rumors?? Can't remember.

Suggestion

Postby JMSinMaryland » Tue Jan 09, 2007 7:30 pm

Go to Home Depot and buy clear silicone, go over the entire light (part between front and back where they have some sealent already) at least 2x. I have done this for both my Solara and Camry and never had 1 drop of moisture. Jon.

I have the same exact clear corners. I got them off Ebay last Spring. I'm probably going to scrap them. Cause as of recently the rubber seal keeps coming loose.

i already got them but its too cold for me to stand outside for more than 5 minutes. i wish we had an indoor garage! the seller was honest and when i asked him about the moisture he told me that i should seal it too. i'm gonna wait to put these in with the hid kit (whenever i get to order them, krawzyazn is not replying!!!!). maybe ill do a picture tutorial for the newbies in the future

yep just make sure you seal up the stuff good once you get it. i made that mistake of forgetting to do so and now my left side clear corner has some condensation in it.

^^^those look pretty much the same thing that I got. Got mine from F1sports off of Ebay. Really fast shipping. As for the sealant, just went to Walmart, picked up some window sealant (clear ideally, not white) and just went crazy. Even sealed the places I didn't think needed to be sealed.

I had those, they will last on your car for maybe 2 years, then moisture will build causing the silver paint on the inside to come off and as chunk said back in jan. the black rubber around the sealed housing will come loose. Good luck with them for about 2 years...

overall...i was satisfied with mine....they look sweet especially with clean lights
