OK I got it in the nice guys at EJP welding fixed it up for me. After that it went in but it did hit the frame a bit. For the connections to the manifold use FEL-PRO part number 60674 catalytic converter gasket for mercury villager v6 183 cu inch with one bolt hole opened up a bit. For the flanges to the cat and exhaust use FEL-PRO 60679 from a 1985 Mazda V6. You need 2 of each and the Mazda one will NOT work well with the manifold so don't bother trying.

here are pics of repair you should have them tilt the section after the rear flange down a little bit mine is still rubbing a little.

pipe

Postby NRDriver » Sat Jan 13, 2007 7:38 pm

well, i finaly fixed my pipe. it not the prettiest job but it does the trick. i got the idea from mideas but i angled it. total cost = 10.38$
i cut the pipe myself using a saws all and had a muffler shop weld it since i dont have the equipment to weld stainless
i used FEL-PRO 60496-1 gaskets. perfect fit. 3 for 12$

Glad to see you angled it as I suggested. It is a super tight fit with out being angled. I hope your gaskets fit your stock manifold. I used two sizes a smaller id one for the manifold and a larger id one for the highflow cat connection. There is a signifigent difference
