TRD steering wheel

Will the cruise control need to be modified with this TRD steering wheel w/o any modification in wiring or anything?

Why would you want a wheel with a non functioning air bag?

Says off road/show use only air bag will not deploy. Dangerous...

Hope it's only a liability issue... Most companies use it as an excuse to get out of court when it isn't properly installed and the guy sues simply because it didn't go off.

I had this steering wheel, it did have an actual bag and no modification was needed for the Cruise control, I sold it to a good friend with a Gen3 Camry. And as King aka Pussies stated... It will not throw a Airbag code.

Why does it specifically say the airbag won't deploy then?

so then they have no liability if it doesn't work

and I presume that it is also because it isn't DOT approved

OK, but that's my point, no airbag...if it doesn't work, then it might as well not be there....why would you want a steering wheel w/o an airbag.

You get in an accident and you could be screwed...plus, you could get sued. What if you let someone borrower your car and they hit something? They get really hurt and sue you because you purposely had no functioning airbag.

I just think it's silly to replace the steering wheel with one not having a functioning airbag...plain silly.

talk to him

I have always like this set up. I'm due for a new steering wheel anyways. Where can I find spike mantis? I don't recall him being on this forum in a while, if at all.
