Hey, what's up? New meember from sacramento here....The site is tight....I have a couple of questions...I've tried the search function, but I still could not find the answer...If it is out there just help me find it, don't bite my head off...

Fist question is that I'm riding on 18's and my tire size is 235/40(i think, not good with cars)..and I went to les schwaub and the guy said that eibach pro kit was the way to go. He said it only gave it a 1.2 drop..Is that enough? I thought 1.6 was standard.

Also, anything about rolling or cutting the fenders would also help...

thanks a lot

i have another post up about rolling/cutting fenders. i've come to the conclusion that rolling is a better idead cuz its cheaper and safer. cutting will weaken the structure and u have higher risk of the rear fenders bending or whatever.

get the eibachs or try the new teins. i have 235/40/18 also with the eibach kit. check out my pictures on my cardomain site.

good luck

The eibachs will drop your car 1.6" which is perfect. It really makes a difference. When you do the lowering springs, be sure to get struts too or else you'll have to replace them in a few months anyways

Eibach pro kit for the Solara is 1.6. I would suggest switching out your OEM struts with Tokico struts. You will be sorry in the long run if you just switch springs and leave the oem struts on.

I personally would roll with a 235/40R18 since you will rub in the rear regardless.

We occassionally have NorCal meets from time to time...so just keep posted on the Events forum for the latest. We always meet up in the Bay Area. We'll try Solano County or West Contra Costa County soon.
