It's rare that I see a modified vehicle looking as "pulled together" as your does.

Kudos to keep the mods understated and refined.

PXLpainter wrote:Okay - so now looking at it in more detail, I think I'll probably go with a chrome bezel to match the trim on the hood.

I think in your case, see if you can either remove it (does it leave holes? Haven't checked?) - or get it painted to match as well.

My 2¢ - but then again, I'm not afraid of chrome like many others here are...

Jeff:
The hood is indented where the strip bolts to it. Removing it won't work unless you fill in the area. (A lot of work and $$$.) Chrome works well on some cars and not others. The only chrome on my Red Gen2 were the badges on the trunk (which were due to be painted red) and the strip on the hood. For me, blacking out the hood trim was the right thing to do.

In your ride, silver and subtle accents of chrome go together very well. Mercedes Benz made that an art form. You have the chrome door handles, trunk badges, etc. I see no rush to change the hood strip on yours. (Just my opinion)

Milt and Posh: I can see we think a lot alike. (Scary for you I think) I glad I wasn't mass flamed for my comments. Somehow I knew you guys were already a step ahead with the strip. Like Howard said, you guys do pull it all together very well.

Question

Postby JMSinMaryland » Fri Jan 19, 2007 7:30 pm

Couldn't that chrome strip be painted to match? (If you wanted to?) Also would be unique if you painted the brake calipers to match the car color :) I definitely think the grill does need something, without is too plain. Overall nice and clean.
Almost looks like it's smiling

---CAMRAZY--- wrote:Yes, Brian you are right about the chrome strip, we had already discussed into getting it painted.... Funny thing is, this past Monday I had already ordered the strip from toyota, so we are waiting on that..... Also, the emblem is already gone..... It was just to see what it looked like...

BTW, the BBK has been ordered from Rotora with a very similar color.

Thanks Fellas for the feedback, My girl loves her car more than ever...
